‘Mommy me a soldier today!’
every once in awhile I let Jayden skip his nap…. today we laid in my bed together and watched Toy Story 2. I love days like this.
Peyton is a little obsessed with cornhole lately. he can’t wait to play every day after school. he is REALLY good!

every once in awhile I put highlights in Peyton’s hair. I thought since we had the kit and that it was spring break we would do it again…. this time Jayden wanted some too!
they are more noticeable in Peyton’s hair, but I thought it was sweet Jayden wanted to be like his brother.

Peyton and Jayden were so excited to get up and going this morning. Jason and Gpa’s flight didn’t get in until noon but the boys were READY as soon as they got out of bed. they started their day with green milk…. in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! (my mom used to do the same thing to us when we were little. I would NEVER drink it!) I was surprised when the boys drank it up and then wanted more!
we were SO EXCITED to see Jason and Grandpa!!!! we went to In & Out burger for lunch. it is new to Tx so it was VERY exciting!
yummmm…. (I ate one and a half burgers, and fries! it was soooo good but I don’t think I ate the rest of the day!)

we didn’t do a lot today. just stayed home and did our usual things around here. Jason and Gpa are still out of town, and we are doing ok so far, although we miss them a lot!
the boys are definitely keeping me busy!
Peyton looks for worms every day! the fish go crazy when he throws them in the pond.
I love all of the wrinkles on Jayden’s tummy when he is sitting down. why can’t our stomachs be that cute when we get old?
Jayden discovered our dove’s nest while we were outside today. the same doves build their nest next to our house every year. last year they built it in the garage. (what a mess!) we are glad they built it on the speaker on our back porch this year! they have built it there before. they must REALLY like country, and christian music!
I am so glad spring is here!

the boys and I stopped by McDonalds for some fries and a coke, then went to the park for a little while today. Peyton and Jayden LOVE McDonald’s fries…. can you tell?
I don’t know when it started, but Jayden loves coke. we never buy it, but when we do he is all over it!
big brother, the teacher!
we didn’t make big plans for Spring Break, just good ol’ hanging out and enjoying our week together, and apparently letting the boys dress themselves….

you would think after living in Tx my whole life I would be used to the weather changing over night. last night we wearing sweaters and hats….
and today we are in shorts! it’s also the first day of spring break, so we are hoping the weather stays warm!
Peyton ran for Boosterthon today at his school. they had to have it in the gym since the weather was so bad outside. Peyton did really well! I am so proud of him, and his classmates!

every time they did a lap around the gym they stopped and got a check on the back of their shirt, to show how many times they made it around. I love seeing Jason work with the kids!
Jayden was a GREAT cheerleader!!!!
Peyton and Payne not only ran all of the laps, they did extra!!!! good job boys! (all of the teachers signed the back of their shirts too!)

we have a huge mirror directly across from our bathtub…. and it is so funny to watch the boys watch themselves while they are taking a bath. I am really going to be sad the day they tell me they are too old to bathe together!
Peyton’s Kindergarten Rodeo was the cutest! he was so excited to show us his parade and dance with his friends. Jayden was just as excited and just HAD to wear his cowboy stuff today too.
