I have so many more pictures of this trip sitting in a folder on my computer but I’m just not ready to go through them yet, so for now you get my lovely iPhone pictures.

I had forgotten how much fun this trip was. So thankful for these three boys!

I have been avoiding posting about my dad’s year anniversary since he died. Which I don’t really like using the word “anniversary” because to me its a word that is used on happy occasions. Anyway, we drove to South Padre Island the day before “that day”. I was worried about leaving my mom here by herself while we were gone, but my brother to the rescue! He flew her out to California a few days before. Writing this I realize I didn’t post pictures of last years vacation to South Padre. I’m guessing now it was just too hard, and still is. The whole week leading up to dad’s death was hard. The anticipation of it all is heartbreaking. The day itself was horrible, then and still now. I relived the whole day in my head. I can still remember everything. I know I blogged about it, but I am not ready to reread any of it. I can still remember it all, even down to what I was wearing (every time I see that shirt in my closet I cringe a little), I also remember how I didn’t want to leave dad’s side that day. It’s all still too fresh and even writing this now I can’t stand the feelings I still have. I miss him. I always will. I hate being sad for him. I just wish I could talk with him. Hear his voice. I dream about him a lot. The last dream I had he told me he was sorry what the COPD did to him and how much it affected everyone in our family. He looked good. Sitting in his chair at our old house. Relaxed and healthy. God I miss him.

So the “anniversary” came and went. We had a good time at the beach. Keeping our minds in a happy place for the most part. We spent time as a family together like dad told me to before he died. I took a lot of pictures but I haven’t gone through them much. I had not realized it but I guess in a way this was my therapy, last year and now.

I love and miss you Dad, so much! Can’t wait to see you again someday.

Happy 9th Birthday Jayden

Saturday, July 16th, 2016

Wow, how is he 9 already?! We started his birthday with an annual birthday cupcake and presents!

Good morning birthday boy!

We usually don’t have the boys parties on the day of their actual birthday, but this year it just worked better for us to do both on the same day. It’s The Force Awakens Party!

Decorations and cake!

Cupcakes and (the usual) M&M treats!

And the outside decorations…. with a Storm Trooper!

I do this EVERY SINGLE PARTY and it never gets old….

The light saber/noodles are always a big hit, and easy party favors.

Swimming, water balloons, and pin the thing on the star wars/force awakens thing.

and finally, cake! Happy 9th Birthday Jayden!

Jayden, almost 9

Every year I try to take a few pictures of the boys before their birthday. I’m so glad I started doing this when they were little, and will (try) to continue to do it. I’ve learned as they grow up they are less likely to pose for you when you want, so I try to ask them on a day when they aren’t too busy with anything else. Bribery still works well too!

I love when you sleep in our bed, it isn’t often but if you had it your way it would be.

Your sweet caring nature wins over everyone. You are still a little shy but every once in awhile you surprise us with the outgoing little boy you are becoming.

You have lots of quiet times but when something interests you, you talk and talk. It’s so sweet how your face lights up when you have so much going on in your head.

We love hearing your stories and what you and your friends do at school. For a shy boy you really know how to make lots of friends.

Your dad and I love you so much and can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for you. Keep being your sweet, silly self Jaydue! Have the happiest of birthdays! We love you so much! Mommy & Daddy

Fourth Of July

Monday, July 4th, 2016

We love going to our favorite firework stand every year.

We celebrated with donuts and fireworks galore. Happy 4th!

Our annual ring of fire turned into a bucket of fire this year. Whatever works!

Sparklers, always awesome!

More summer stuff

Friday, July 1st, 2016

As I continue to go through folders on my computer, my camera roll on my phone, and pictures still on my Nikon, I realize how behind I am with it all.

So once again, more summer…. through my phone.

Love these girls and had a blast on our GNO to see Matt Bellassai, from “Wine about it”. He was hilarious!

Peyton had his end of season Warrior (swim) party. We just love our Warrior family. It was a blessing how they found Peyton and asked him to be a part of their select team. We are now a AAA team. A huge deal to the boys and parents.

The coaches said such great things about each player. They all got binders made especially for each player, filled with encouraging words and baseball cards.

Pokémon Go is hilarious. We walk around the parks near our house, and anywhere else to see what we can find. This is probably my favorite of all the games the boys have saved on my phone.

Jayden played on his first basketball team this summer. He had a blast with his best buddies. Go #7!

More playdate fun!

We love attending the Full Moon Concerts at our church. Fun for everyone!

I know I’ve done the before and after picture of the boys new fort but I have a few of the construction of the whole thing. Jason is such a trooper and awesome dad!

Before Jason attached the slide we had a little white trash fun with it in the pool.

The end result is awesome! The boys, and kittens, love it!

Kitten dinner time!

Kitten peeping tom!

Snake in the pool. Ugh!

Mama cracks us up!

Tiger love.

Free Slurpee day!

Lego builders

Poor Shay had a really bad bladder infection. We had to take him to the emergency room. Poor thing was in so much pain. About a week or so of antibiotics and he was back to himself.

Finally, a new truck for Jason. It was past time for this to happen. He now has air conditioning, heat, AND windows that work. Before & After!

Shay and Ranger weren’t thrilled with us leaving town again.
