Jayden and I went to Peyton’s school early to see Jason, when we got there Peyton was in the gym having PE with his class. it was so funny to watch them play their games. And just to watch Peyton with his friends…. it was very entertaining!
Payne is one of Peyton’s best friends.
after PE it was time to party! they started with a craft…. making an ornament with their handprint and picture. it turned out really cute!
Payne loves getting his picture taken. he’s so funny!
Peyton handed out cake pops to his friends. did I mention I made about 5 cake pops a few days ago?
the balloon game was hysterical! Dee was sweet enough to be the balloon mom.
Peyton went back for more snacks between games….
then a Christmas story!

Santa came to Peyton’s school today. he usually flys in on a helicopter but it was pouring outside so he came by car and walked through the halls of the school. everyone was so excited as they waited in the hall!

But Peyton got a Santa hug!
Jayden got a hug as well, but I wasn’t quick enough with my camera….
he also got a quick hug from Rudolph and a high five from Frosty!
when we got home Jayden was quick to tell me that it was not the REAL Santa at Peyton’s school today.
Me: ‘Why do you think that wasn’t the real Santa?’
Jayden: ‘Cuz him was clean. Him not real. The real Santa dirty.’

every year while we are vacationing in Florida we take our family Christmas picture. I plan the outfits WAY ahead of time and I am so thankful everyone agrees with what I choose for them to wear.
this year we decided to take our picture on the bridge outside our condo. I put my camera on a barstool (professional I know), set the settings, and took this picture to make sure everything was how I wanted it….
then it started to rain.
So about 30 minutes later we tried again….
Yay it’s over!

while Peyton was at school and Jayden was napping our Elf was busy putting crafts together and writing a note to the boys saying Santa wanted to see them today!
Jayden couldn’t wait for Peyton to get home from school.
the craft was a snowman they had to decorate, then write their Christmas list for Santa.
Peyton wrote his list this year (a first!) and I let Jayden tell me what he wanted his to say…. and by the way, when my boys say’computer’ they mean vtech/leappad NOT a real computer. we are not quite ready for the real deal yet!
Jayden signed his letter with a big backwards J….
ready to go!
we have been visiting Santa at Bass Pro Shop the past few years. every time we have gone we have been impressed with how organized it is and the fun things they have to do while you wait. it went great again this year! while I waited in line Jason walked around with the boys and played a few games.
then Santa was ready!!!! the boys ran to him!
Santa took his time to read both lists…. Jayden thought he was silly.
Thank you Santa, and Bass Pro Shop! (gotta love the free pictures they give you!)

a couple of days ago our church put on a little play for the kids after a small breakfast. it was really sweet how they explained the birth of Christ. Peyton and Jayden were really interested…. it was great sharing this with them!

Peyton and I talked Jason into getting a real Christmas tree for the kitchen again this year. Peyton even offered to spend his own money for one! Which we didn’t use but it was so sweet of him to offer. Jason, of course, gave in…. I mean who wouldn’t when a 6 yr old is pulling money out of his own wallet!
can you tell how excited Jason is about the new tree?
it didn’t take long for Elfafin to find it….
I think we might be done decorating for now…. I REALLY need to start shopping!

Peyton’s class had a gingerbread decorating party at school today. It was adorable! All of the kids did such a great job decorating…. and the parents did a great job too!
I love how hard everyone worked on their houses!
Peyton’s gingerbread house is ADORABLE! And how cute are the snowmen he made with marshmallows?!
Mrs. Poda announced a snow storm was coming and the kids screamed! she walked around with a sifter and sprinkled ‘snow’ on all of their gingerbread houses. cuteness!
