‘slippy slide’
Tuesday, August 16th, 2011walking through Kohls the other day we passed their summer sale. 60% off slip & slides! the boys have never been on one…. and they LOVE it! Jayden calls it his ‘slippy slide’.
it’s almost party time!
Monday, August 15th, 2011i mailed Peyton’s invites a few days ago. we will be celebrating the Saturday before his birthday since his bday is the first day of kindergarten. yes i will be crying double that day i am sure!
his invitations turned out cute! (again, excuse the bad scan job).

Sunday, August 14th, 2011In less than a week you will not only be starting your first year of elementary school, you will also be turning 6. I can not explain to you how excited and nervous I am….
The past 6 years you have been mine. We did what we wanted to do and the first day of kindergarten was not even a thought in my mind. I dont know if it was denial or if I just didnt want to think about you starting school. But now it’s time. You are ready for school, to learn, and make new friends without me by your side….
If it were up to me I would go back to the day we brought you home, the day you made me a mom, or even to the day we found out we were having you. I would love to do it all over again, but I know I cant….
You have so much ahead of you and kindergarten is just the beginning.
Peyton we love you so much and you are going to have so much fun. Enjoy it all, take it all in, and know we are so proud of you! You are one of the sweetest, kindest boys we know.
Grow, learn, make good choices but must of all know that we love you.

Sea Life | Grapevine Tx
Wednesday, August 10th, 2011Jayden got 4 tickets to Sea Life Aquarium for his birthday from my cousins (thank you Keith, Lisa, Jayson, and Callie!) we had such a good time!

the jellyfish were so pretty!
we loved the glass floors!
after the aquarium we went to IHOP for dinner…. kids eat free the month of August after 4:00pm! the boys LOVE pancakes so we had to take advantage at least once.

Sunday, August 7th, 2011it’s been long overdue but we finally took the crib apart and officially moved Jayden into his big boy room. goodbye crib.
i think it was harder on me than anyone else. must be a mommy thing.
naptime was a success…. i am hoping tonight, and every night, are as well.
