today was not only Peyton’s first day of kindergarten, it was also his 6th birthday. such a HUGE day for him, so we started it with a birthday pancake and a present…. then it was time to get ready for kindergarten!

it was probably way past time for the parents to leave…. we finally all trickled out of the classroom about 45 minutes after school started. Jayden and i went to the ‘boo hoo breakfast’ in the library where got to write a note to Peyton and visit with other parents for a little while.
i would love to say i didnt shed a tear, but i would be lying. from the backseat on the way home i heard Jayden say: ‘me way miss Peyton’, and that is when i pretty much lost it. the tears came and i am pretty sure they are not done yet.
the first week of Kindergarten is only a half day (YAY!) and since the first day was Peyton’s birthday i got to go up to school early to share cookies with his class. when i got there all of the kids were busy in ‘centers’.
Peyton got a crown and got to do some fun things with his teacher.
