even after two and a half years of Grandpa making the big move from Illinois to Texas we are still so excited he is here! our lives wouldn’t be the same without him and i dont know what Jayden would do if he didn’t have Gpa living so close.

the boys love him so much!

it honestly feels weird when Grandpa takes a day off from coming over. even Sammie looks around like ‘where is he!’ now Sammie has two BFFs….

we love you Gpa!
the other day I forgot to take my camera with me to run errands and, of course, we end up seeing three or four cars the boys fell in love with. I felt so bad I didnt take my camera, so it is pretty much going to be like my phone or my wallet from now on…. don’t leave home without it!
however, we were happy to see these two parked across the street when we got home from Bunny and Poppy’s house…. Jayden said ‘Pey you get the lellow one and me get the monster truck’.
I love how Peyton is holding up his toy race car in both pictures. such a tough guy!

Peyton and Jayden always find new things to do when we visit Bunny and Poppy’s house…. with the good food, toys, and fun backyard who could blame them!
Jayden always asks Bunny for ‘that green stuff’…. (her famous guacomole).

exploring in the backyard….

and spying on the neighbors….

woof!

my two grease monkeys headed for the Dallas Car Show!

a couple of months ago Jason took Peyton (and my camera) to the Dallas Car Show. they had a great time! prepare yourself for LOTS of cars!

Peyton was excited to show me this picture. he got to see a truck drive over cars!

I was excited to see this picture. my dad had one of these but it was yellow….

Jason’s favorite….

Jason has been thinking about building a purgola over our back porch and decided to build a small one by the pool for practice…. Peyton and Jayden were right in the middle of it as soon as he got started.

trying to get to China….

Gpa helped with getting the posts in, then let it set overnight.

Jason took the next day off which the the boys love! they follow him everywhere and want to help with everything when he is home.

almost finished!

i think the worst part of the whole thing was staining the lattice. it took forever!

i still needed to stain a few spots but i really love how it turned out. Jason did such a great job!

meanwhile, the boys figured out how to ride noodles and squirt water out of the back of them…. always entertaining themselves!

when Peyton was about 9 months old my mom and i bought a stepping stone kit and had Peyton put his handprints on it, and since then i have made sure we do one every year. i can’t believe we are on our 5th one now! (Jayden’s 3rd & Peyton’s 5th). i love seeing all of the stepping stones in our backyard. it is crazy how much their hands grow in one year.
i am always impressed with how patient they are when putting their hands in the cement…. and with decorating it. i stamp the names & year into it at the very end.

i made an art display area in the playroom for the boys. they LOVE to draw and paint and i end up hanging it all over the house. i thought this was a cute idea for displaying it…. although i might have to add another ribbon and nobs. Peyton and Jayden draw almost every day!

the saying is from It’s written on the Wall on etsy.com. love her stuff, and that she used my picture in her shop!
we love you!
