thursday night (out of nowhere) Peyton got sick and started throwing up, and it continued through the night. he missed school on Friday and tried to recover. he slept a lot and by saturday afternoon he was feeling well enough to eat some toast in my bed while Jayden napped.
after naptime i could tell Jayden wasn’t feeling himself…. poor thing had just gotten up from his nap, had an icepop then it was all downhill from there.
and then it was my turn…. ugh. it was horrible. surprisingly Jason did not get sick at all. but a few days later while getting things ready for field day at his school he got hit in the head with a post hole digger and had to get 5 staples in his head. he is doing fine, thank goodness! i am SO GLAD we are passed those few days!

Peyton’s last day of speech was yesterday. he will continue to go to speech when he enters kindergarten, but yesterday was his last day to walk over to see Mrs. Yakas for his class. (we were lucky to have speech at an elementary school that is walking distance from our house). Mrs. Yakas has been SO GREAT with Peyton the past few years. we put him in speech when he was 2.5 years old, at that age his speech teachers would come to our house. once Peyton got bigger they helped us enroll him into an elementary school…. and it happened to be the school right behind our house. speech has been such a huge help for all of us! Peyton really didn’t start talking until he was about 3.5 yrs. it is amazing how far he has come!
i am going to miss this 3 minute walk twice a week.

she really is a great teacher. we love her so much!
Jayden, waiting patiently to go into school to get Peyton one last time.
Peyton and Jude, speech buddies! we hope to see him and his mom this summer. she is so sweet and the boys get along so well!
goodbye speech! and thank you for everything Mrs. Yakas! we will miss you so much!

Grapevine has ‘Main Street Days’ every spring, we haven’t been since Peyton was about 2 so we thought we would surprise the boys today by taking them. they had a lot of fun and found LOTS of things to do!
milking cows,
helicopter rides,
basketball, and hanging out in the Mav’s locker room,
people watching and FOOD,
bubble blowers,
a new hat for mommy,
lots of cars,
and back to the ‘Kid Zone’ for a train ride!
great fun for everyone!

on Mother’s Day, Peyton woke up with his first loose tooth. i was as excited as he was when he showed it to me. (one of the middle teeth on bottom).
while the boys were eating breakfast the Tooth Fairy left a book in the playroom. (thank you Bunny for thinking ahead! we finally get to read it!).
later when Peyton and Jayden went outside to play they found a few more things from the tooth fairy. the book explained how she would leave some of her things in the yard under the big tree….
we are all excited to see what she does next!
