Peyton’s pre-school Easter party was a lot of fun. i signed up for snacks…. so Easter cupcakes with peeps, cheese cubes, and apple juice were Peyton’s snack choice. a few of the moms and i got there early to set everything up for the party, then went outside to hide Easter eggs.
Peyton’s class was excited to get started….
they were allowed to find 12 eggs each, and when they were done they sat together to wait for their friends to get done. i love how all of them listen so well! as many times as i have been to Peyton’s pre-school, i have always been really impressed with how well behaved all of the kids are. i love his school and his teachers!

Peyton and Jayden were excited to skip naptime for an Easter Egg hunt at the vineyards today. they LOVED running around and seeing everything!
we had time to walk around and see everything before the Easter Egg Hunt started…. and to see the Easter Bunny. Jayden didn’t want to sit with him, but Peyton wanted to…. although he is convinced that it was NOT the REAL Easter Bunny. apparently Peyton could see the guy through the Easter Bunny eyes…. and Peyton told us ‘the real Easter Bunny wears glasses!’. can’t fool him!
they had a few different Easter Egg Hunts for different ages…. i helped Jayden while Jason and Peyton waited for Peyton’s age group to start.

i went inside for 5 minutes…. and came outside to find them coloring themselves (and each other) with blue chalk.
and later, Peyton tried to teach Jayden how to skate. cuteness, although Jayden REALLy wanted to do it ‘all by meself!’

this week at pre-school ‘W’ is the letter of the week and today was ‘wacky wednesday’…. Peyton told me exactly what he wanted to wear and how he wanted to wear it. (his shirt inside out, his pants the right way, two different socks, and two different shoes…. and at the last minute he put the Christmas shirt Bunny made for him over his t-shirt!)
so wacky!
Jayden and i got to pre-school early to pick Peyton up…. Jayden still gets carsick, so getting out of the car for fresh air really helps him. he still wears his sea bands every time we ride in the car too. poor thing! we make the best of it though. we have pulled over to look at flowers or stopped at Target a few times when we really didnt need to. it works for us…. anything to make him feel better!
Jayden LOVES exploring and finding flowers while we wait for Peyton to be dismissed.
and finally the wacky wednesday crowd!
i love my view from the front seat…. i am SO going to miss seeing this someday when they are grown!

the first i heard of ‘cakepops’ (or cakeballs) was at the birthday party i photographed not too long ago. they are not only cute they are SO GOOD! i found out that you can either make them by hand or you can make them with a ‘Babycakes Cake Pop Maker’. i had a hard time finding one…. but leave it to my parents, they bought one for Jason and I for our anniversary!
it came with a few recipes for the batter, but i just used cake batter for my first time.
it was pretty easy but it takes some practice putting the right amount of batter in each circle. if you put too much they spill over the sides, but if you put too little you dont get a perfect circle…. they end up looking a little like a mushroom.
Peyton and Jayden had fun decorating them! they only wanted plain chocolate on theirs, so we made a few of each kind. (the cakeballs were easier to decorate after we put them in the fridge for a few minutes to cool off).
yummy goodness…. and pretty cute (and just a little messy) for our first time!

the past seven years have gone by so fast and have been the best ever! i wouldnt change a thing…. from our wedding day and seven years later, it has been everything i have hoped for and more!

today was our 7th wedding anniversary. we didnt make plans but we ended up having a REALLy fun and busy day!
it started with breakfast at Krispy Kreme,
then looking cool with some cool cars….
and a visit to Bunny and Poppy’s house! the boys LOVED playing in their hot tub and with all of their fun toys.
Poppy gave both boys one of his trophies from his golfing days, which they LOVE!
Jayden always loves Bunny’s guacamole! she always makes him his own bowl…. which he eats faster than anything, and gets every last bite!
Peyton and Poppy always play at least one card game when we visit….
and the boys LOVE feeding Bunny’s fish!
by the time we got home the boys were worn out. we ate dinner and let them watch a movie in the playroom…. they didnt let go of their trophies AT ALL! they even slept with them next to their beds.
thank you for everything Bunny and Poppy! we had a great time spending our anniversary with you! we wouldn’t have had it any other way!

since Jason gave me my anniversary present early i thought it was only fair that he got his early too…. an ice cream maker! Jason LOVES homemade icecream. the boys were excited to help!
we made vanilla…. Peyton and Jayden’s favorite!
and yes, the Easter decorations are slowly taking over the house!
