Peyton came home from pre-school not feeling well. by the afternoon he was running a fever so we called the doctor.

Peyton did a great job waiting at the drs office… watching movies and looking for ‘race cars’ out the window. my trooper!

we found out he had strep throat…. poor thing! he never complained once about anything.

a few days later…. rinse & repeat.

there are mud puddles waiting….

{Photo-A-Week-Project: A personal project that I will undertake for the entire year, taking one photo a week of my children.}

Easter Sunday.
eggs, chocolate bunnies, peeps, sharing…. and so thankful!
the night before Easter we put out a few snacks for the Easter Bunny. Peyton and Jayden got to choose what they thought he would like. so it came down to cabbage, cheese, lettuce, blackberries and cakepops.

Easter morning they were excited to find some of the treats gone, plus a few chocolate eggs! they also found bunny prints and a note saying they had four surprises to find hidden in the house.

both boys found their presents FAST. i think the Easter Bunny needs to find better hiding places!

new swimsuits, t-shirts, kites, and Easter baskets….

they got puzzles in their baskets along with chocolate bunnies and a few other small things.

after breakfast, we went outside for TWO Easter Egg hunts! the front yard first….

backyard! i love how Peyton let Jayden go first on both egg hunts.

i took these same shots last year…. i love them! (also a part of my weekly project).

watching their faces for the confetti eggs was so cute!

Happy Easter Sammie….

Peyton and Jayden put their ‘golden egg’ out for the Easter Bunny every year (thank you Keith & Lisa!) and on Easter morning they find a surprise in it…. this year it was $5 for each of them.

Jayden was more concerned with ‘why the Easter Bunny do this?’ (a scribble on his note)….

during Jayden’s nap we cleaned up the house and got ready for Bunny, Poppy, and Grandpa to come over. Bunny and Poppy brought some gifts from California. (thank you Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Tim!) when everyone got here we went to the field behind our house to fly the boys new kites.

it was Jayden’s first time to fly a kite…. he did so good!

we had a great time visiting with everyone…. Peyton and Jayden loved all of the gifts and MORE confetti eggs!

thank you for the goggles and water shooters Grandpa!

a GREAT Easter Sunday!

our church was having a few different services this weekend due to the amount of people they were expecting for Easter. along with the service they were having a few Easter Egg hunts too. we decided to attend one of the Saturday services that followed the afternoon egg hunt.
the boys were more than ready to get started….

and FINALLY it was time! we have only done two egg hunts this year, and i have noticed Jayden will stop to check his eggs out while the egg hunt is still going on. he doesnt really understand that all of the kids are out to get EVERY EGG so you have to be fast! good thing Peyton is great at sharing!

have i mentioned how much i love our church?

Matt. 28:5-8 “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

i bought these last year through ebay and they have become two of our favorite Easter decorations. i love how the boys treat them like real baby chicks, complete with holding them like tiny babies.
with Peyton’s last day of pre-school for 6 days and a rescheduled speech class, (due to the Easter holiday), we finally found time to sit down to color eggs. i had been looking forward to this probably more than Peyton and Jayden have. they did such a great job and were so patient.
this is my favorite coloring kit just because you get the cups to put the tablets in AND because the cups are GREAT for snacks! they are the perfect size for little hands!

i was so glad it stopped raining long enough to set up a table outside. the wind was still crazy, but at least we got some fresh air while we colored our Easter Eggs! we were SO TIRED of being inside!

and just because they’re cute…. Peyton brought these two little guys home from pre-school yesterday. both boys are in love with them! looks like the yellow one is sniffing the blue one…. haha!

Easter’s coming!

thank you for the bunnies, Bunny!
