Wednesday, March 30th, 2011my friend Anne Marie has been doing ‘tot school’ with her 2yr old and showed me some of the games and lessons she will be doing with him as he gets older. one of the lessons looked really easy to make, and it looked like something Peyton and Jayden would enjoy. it took a few days to collect all of the caps we needed for the alphabet, but once it was done it turned out better than i expected.
Peyton and Jayden have enjoyed the game so much they have asked to play it over and over. it has helped Peyton with spelling and Jayden with his letters. i made A LOT of papers for them to do, but their favorites are Superman and Batman…. shocker!

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011a few days ago the elementary school down the street was having a garage sale so i thought it would be fun for me and the boys to walk over and see what they had. we were there just a few minutes before the boys found a few things they wanted. Peyton found two baseball gloves for a $1 each…. and Jayden, found Superman. ‘Mommy we get this?’ and so the obsession begins….
Superman has gone everywhere with Jayden. he even spotted a superman shirt at the store the other day. (‘Mommy, look Superman shirt! Me get it?’) so of course we bought it. my boys sure do know what they like now!
infinite bubbles
Monday, March 28th, 2011a few days ago i surprised the boys with a bubble machine. i had been planning on ordering one online, but we found this one at the store and thought we would give it a try….
the next morning after taking Peyton to pre-school Jayden wanted to play with the bubble machine again…. i think it’s a keeper!

the pool is open?
Saturday, March 26th, 2011the weather has been beautiful the past few days. Peyton and Jayden have been in their swimsuits a lot and SO ready to jump into the pool. Jason has been heating up the hot tub but today it just wasn’t enough for them…. even though the pool wasn’t quite ready the boys jumped in for the first time this year.
although they still had fun in the hot tub with Grandpa!
Jason surprised us today by bringing a truck load of flowers home. gerbera daisies, my favorite!
i love watching him work…. which is good because he never stops!
the boys also got to eat outside tonight for the first time in a long time…. they always love it, especially when they get bananas with their dinner!
we are so glad the spring weather is here and hope it sticks around awhile!

drawing & writing
Friday, March 25th, 2011the boys asked to draw, so i made them their own little books. (don’t be too impressed, i just stapled a few sheets of paper together.)
Peyton practiced his letters and tried to spell out ‘no thank you’…. i think he did a pretty good job! he’s really interested in letters right now and constantly telling us what letter of the alphabet different words start with.
Jayden drew spider webs, and showed me the bugs stuck in them.
and just because it’s sweet…. a little Sammie love.
