i love how the mention of painting rocks makes their day.

and how they get excited about sharing their icepops with Grandpa.

i love that sidewalk chalk is always all over our backyard….

and the treats Bunny and Poppy give the boys, how messy Peyton and Jayden get, and how they don’t care at all!

the snowhill was a hit with the boys…. so much of a hit, they did not want to stop!
a few more snow angels for Peyton….
and our last snow day was done…. at least we hope so! does everyone have clothes and boots all over their house right now or is it just us? come on sun! we NEED you!
i woke up this morning to Peyton saying ‘Mommy you gotta come see this!’ he pulled me out of bed and to the window. there was at least 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground.
Jayden said ‘Mommy, me build a snow duck for me and a snow camera for you.’ so cute! the boy knows what Mommy likes. we were expected to get a little more snow so we passed the time by playing cars.
finally the snow started coming down like crazy and the boys couldnt wait any longer to play…. it was so much fun! even Sammie was a little confused with all of the white stuff.
Jayden may have a slight snowflake/ice eating problem. the ONLY thing he did was eat or lick the snow!
Peyton ate his share of snowflakes too.
and, the snowblob i made for the boys. celery arms, blueberry eyes, a carrot nose, and Mr. Potato Head hat and tongue. yeah, i’m good at snowblobs. want one?
once we touched (and licked) everything we could in the backyard…. we ventured to the front.

Peyton couldn’t make enough snow angels…. as we were going inside he asked if he could make ‘just one more?’
while Jayden was napping and Peyton & Jason were visiting Grandpa, i went in the front yard and built a snowman to surprise the boys…. i think they liked him!
and one last visit to the backyard to build a ramp for sledding…. and more snow eating (of course).

the anticipation of a snow day.
they couldnt wait to get outside.
we lasted all of 10 minutes.
their hands & feet were frozen,
it was well worth the smiles and laughter!
after the boys nap we decided to keep them inside for the rest of the day. just the little bit of playing we did this morning and going to the store made Jayden’s cough worse. sooo when you can’t go outside and play…. you stay inside and bake!

we woke up to a mixture of ice and snow yesterday. we knew it was coming but we didnt know it was going to keep us homebound and inside so much! although it was a blast for the boys it was just down right cold. temps got below 0, which NEVER happens here, and Texans just arent prepared for it, no matter how much the weathermen tell us it’s coming.
we tried to keep the boys in for as long as we could, watching a few shows on tv….
and playing their new favorite game, Go Fish. i love how Peyton and Jayden play so well together. have i said that before?
the waiting was getting too much for the boys so we bundled up and finally went outside.
Jayden licked everything!
the next morning we thought we would try to go to the grocery store. the roads were REALLY bad, but we didnt go far. it was nice to get out for a least a little while. when we got home Peyton tried to ice skate on the driveway. Jayden slipped and fell but he laughed it off.
