we had the park all to ourselves today.
they played on everything.
laughing and making up games,
and picking dandelions for me.
I had the pleasure of photographing Aslynn’s birthday again this year. her party was held at Lifetime Fitness…. a fun time for everyone. Happy 2nd Birthday Aslynn!

over the weekend Bunny and Poppy came over to visit, which also means they have treats for the boys. this time it was not only a cardboard house they can color and play in, but Bunny also made them cowboy outfits. they are SO CUTE! Peyton has ‘cowboy day’ at pre-school soon. he is SO excited to wear his new shirt, vest, and bandana!
i wouldn’t mess with these cowboys….
although they are sweeter anything!

Jason and I used to work together at the same elementary school, and whenever we take Peyton and Jayden to the school where we used to work it takes me back to when we first became friends. it really feels like yesterday when Jason and I would be out there all day teaching kids…. not knowing someday we would have 2 little boys of our own playing on the same playground.
in all honesty if someone would have told us back then we would be where we are today TOGETHER, we would have thought they were crazy!
but, once we realized it…. there was no turning back, and as cheesy as it sounds, i really feel like we were meant to be together & to have these two little boys.
God is soooo good!

the smell of clean boys after a full day of ice pops, sandbox, and bike rides= LOVE!
did you know the first time i saw you i was amazed, that i couldnt believe you were ours, and when we brought you home we had no idea what we were doing?
did you know Daddy was the first one to feed you, that you didn’t sleep very well unless one of us next to you, and some nights we stayed up all night holding you?
did you know you took your first steps on your first birthday, got stitches when you were 2, and could swim without floaties by the time you were 3?
did you know i prayed for a little boy before you were born, that we had no idea how much we were going to love you, and that youre the best 5 year old we’ve ever met?
did you know i thank God for you every day?
Peyton, thank you for being ours, making us laugh and loving your brother.

Peyton had his pre-school Valentines Day party today, so i didnt get the vday presents out this morning. i wanted to wait until the afternoon so we could all enjoy it together. BUT, i did wake up to flowers and notes from all of my boys this morning! such a nice surprise!
Peyton was excited about his party. he signed all of his vday cards and had candies for his teachers.
when Jayden and I got home from taking Peyton to school, we cut out hearts and Jayden made his first ever Valentine!
after pre-school we had lunch at home then the boys went down for their nap. while they were sleeping i got busy with decorating for Valentine’s Day. i made cupcakes the day before and had been hiding them from the boys. i couldnt wait to get everything out for them. i didnt do much for Vday but i LOVE seeing them get so excited about little things like cupcakes and candy! i also went through Peyton’s backpack and found all of the Valentine crafts he brought home from his party and hung them in the kitchen (along with Jayden’s Valentine and the Vday notes from Jason). i love, love!
once the boys woke up from their naps our mini Vday party started!
the next day Peyton went through his Valentines from school…. his favorite one (which he searched for first), was the Valentine from Ava his ‘girlfriend’, who by the way he says he is going to marry someday…. um wut?
